I decided to make myself a sweater after having success with hats and cowls. I was inspired by Bad Sheep Yarn’s Edgar Allen Poe set to make a sweater with ravens. Lo and behold, I already had some Raven yarn in my stash so it was a natural follow up to use it for the ravens.

I crunched numbers earlier in the year but I wasn’t 100% confident in them and I didn’t want to waste time and yarn on something that wouldn’t work. So I invested in a couple of sweater construction books and one of them, Ann Budd’s “The Knitter’s Handy Book of Top-Down Sweaters” really saved my bacon. Thanks to the swatch gauge I already had, all the calculations and plotting were already done for me.
